Hey Don, Not on here much either as I just got your message, lol. Thanks for reaching out. Wow, 260k, thats crazy. My sons just turned 170k. He doesn't drive it much, maybe 5k since we got it Jan, 16. He did just tell me last night it's pulling to the left and he's hearing a clunk at the front left tire. I wonder if the end link went bad? Have to pull wheel off and check. Any suggestions?

There is no service on the ATF and the MG series 2006.5 and up 4 cyl has a timing chain with no service interval, but the V6 has a timing belt change sceduled at 60,000 miles.4 years.
I'm going to try and list the service as listed on the Kia Global Information site. Miles/time/Replace maintenance item. This site is used by the dealers and technitians for assistance. Might do your dealer so good to do some research on the site to further his education. There is a listing at each interval for inspection items, but as that has absolutely nothing to do with the warranty or dealer service I'm not going to waste my time listing:
7,500 miles / 6 months Engine oil, Engine oil filter
15,000 miles / 12 months Engine oil, Engine oil filter

22,500 miles / 18 months Engine oil, Engine oil filter
30,000 miles / 24 months Engine oil, Engine oil filter
Air cleaner element, Fuel tank air filter, Climate control air filter*

    Questions for you please.
You state the auto tranny fluid goes for 100k, but dealer and I believe my manual state every 35,000 flush and fill,,I have 56,000 on it now so dont want to do it in another 15,000 if I dont have to, but dont want my warrenty voided either, also, is the 2006.5 optima a timing chain or timing belt, as either way dealer is telling me it has to be replaced by 60,000. I happen to have 2 kia optimas one the 6 cylinder and one the 4cylinder. From what I'm reading on hear there is a large difference between factory recommended and dealer recommended....any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated....thanks
