I was reading through posts on rear speakers and came across some answers you posted. I am hoping you can offer some advice or at least refer me to someone who can.

My son has a 2006 Spectra EX 4 door. We have been able to install a new head unit and front door speakers. The catch has been the dear deck speakers. I took the back seat out and was able to pry the carpeted deck panel up. Everything was going good as I suspected except it seems like the two rear corners where the deck meets the back glass will not come up. I am guessing I may have to remove the rear pillar trim but there are airbags in there so I hesitate to do it.

Do you know if this is a necessary step to getting the deck out so I can replace the speakers? Do you know of any on line step by step directions or photos showing this?
