How to add auto wiper option

The rain sensing auto wipers option is available in euro markets so I'm woundering if it could be added. On other forums I've seen people add cruise control to their older sportage by simply adding the switch/module to the steering wheel.

In an ideal world I would like to be able to simply change the wiper control arm on the steering Colum and add a sensor the windshield wich would all plug into wiring that would already be there but that's being very optimistic I know.

I'm thinking of contacting a euro kia parts department to get parts relates to this function and compare.

If someone here could point me in a better direction or have suggestions I'm open ears.

Yes I am aware it's just a push of a button, but for me constantly adjusting the speed of the wipers is very annoying. Especially since ive grown to love the option in my previous vehicles since 2006. I know this is mostly likely not cheap or easy but I'm still interested in finding out if it's possible, and if I feel it's feasible I don't mind putting in the work and money because I like to mod vehicles to my liking.

I'd be a little surprised if it's an easy thing to do. I can think of a bunch of gotcha's to work around in attempting to do this.

However, having tried to bum you out about it, if you do figure it i out I would love to know how you did it. I really miss the auto wipers that I had on my 2014 Rondo.... a car that listed for about $10k LESS than my SX.

I've never had this feature but I certainly see how you could get used to it. My Murano had speed adjusting wipers and it was way nicer than what we have now. So if you figure it out please let us know. :D

And maybe while you are at it, perhaps you can find out something else. I'd love to know how to adjust the low and high settings on the rear window wiper. This isn't a KIA specific issue, because every SUV I've ever driven has the same problem. I'd really like to meet the morons who make "low" a 4-5 second delay, and "high" as just on. My SX delays exactly 4 seconds on the low setting. Stupid. I've driven a lot of SUV's over the years, and ZERO need an "ON" setting for the rear wipers. The "low" setting should be like at least a 1 minute delay, and "high" should be more like 30 seconds (or maybe 15 seconds minimum). As it is, the "low" setting delay is just totally utterly useless. It might as well not even have a delay, because all I can do now is flip it on/off real quickly and then do that all over again a few minutes later. It's annoying.
