Looking to buy new 2017 Sportage and then:

My wife and I share driving our present Kia Forte5 SX alot and the option of memory seats has been a huge help, looking at the specs for the new 2017 Sportage with 10 way seats there is no button for memory seats. I can't imagine upgrading the vehicle as much as they have for 2017 and making households who share their vehicle readjust a 10 way power seat everytime they switch drivers.

Thought maybe I missed something and was looking for someone to tell me I was mistaken, thanks for the hard thought out response jeepgrady. I will amend my original post and take out the help part.

have to agree with you. one of the 1st questions I asked the sales guys as I was adjusting my seat. can't imagine that little position sensor/memory would be so costly as to get trimmed. must have had something to do with who was sourcing the seat or something. count me in the "surprised" camp. At least my son is now pretty much the same height as me. ;)

Yep, agree here too. Kia put memory seats in the Optima but not the Sportage. WTF!
This would have to be a no-brainer, surely. Every time my wife "helps" with the driving, it takes days of fiddling for me to get the seat position and external mirrors just right again. (On my 3G)

This is a big deal to me as well. A fully spec'd out vehicle should easily have this feature. If the rest of the vehicle was 'perfect' I would overlook it. I was not going to upgrade because of the front end (has to be one of the ugliest) seriously, went to the dealer and being in person didn't help.

They can put in the "nanny" electronics that take away driver's skills - auto park, lane departure, blind spot monitor, etc., etc. - but leave out convenience and comfort features like memory seats/mirrors. Don't understand!
