Tks for posting info.
Happy to read that the 2.0 turbo will be available, as the European reviewers seem underwhelmed with the 1.6 turbo.
Still curious as to which trims will have black headliner, and if North America will get self parking.
But what struck me most about the new Sportage is that this little spud can handle. Unsurprisingly, the suspension has been re-done, and during the launch, I drove both drivetrain choices with a pretty heavy foot and through the twisties, it hung in there like you know what to a baby blanket. Stable, predictable, tenacious, and tossable, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the new 2017 Sportage may be the best handling compact SUV on the market. The only other models I can think of that could possibly match it are the VW Tiguan and Mazda CX5.
the sales for March was the highest number of Sportage's sold for any single month since its introduction to Canada in 1999. However, there is no breakdown between G3 and G4 units, so its hard to tell whether its good deals on selling off of the old model or high demand for the new model.
last week I had to first opportunity to check out the all new 2017 Sportage at my local dealer - I was impressed!
Most of the reviews and photos are on the high end so here is some photos of the LX FWD model, the lowest price Sportage you can obtain in Canada - MSRP $24,795
I have a kia sportage without console tray. Someone has the same problem? Do you know if i could buy a tray or if someone can make it? I think that it is very usefull.
Does this mean you don't get the diesel?
In Oz we have the 2.0 turbo diesel. AV city driving 8.1 litres per 100 k. In country 6.0 litres per 100 k. And 2 tonne towing capacity and plenty of power. Brilliant little car.
there is no diesel KIA's in Canada or the US and the same applies to most other manufacturers that offer diesels in other parts of the world (eg. Honda, Toyota, etc)
Yes i did post the question a little oddly. was only a few days into ownership and haven't had much time to really dig into the layout of the car. as for the rear 12V, it doesn't exist, which is a little sad with how high tech the interior is. As for the mirror, the dealership brought in the car from another dealership and again with how high tech the interior is, thought it should be standard to have a homelink mirror, so was wondering if other canadian sportage owners have it or if it was changed by the dealership.
