Today, I noticed a Round Cut Out on my front bumper, to the right of the license plate mount. It seems to be secured in the center, and can be pushed in with finger pressure. What the heck is that?
Oh, thank you! Do you know if the eyebolt from a 2011 Soul 4U will fit it? When I bought this Optima, an eye bolt was not given to me, as was done when I bought my Soul.
I'm somewhat surprised that you have one on a 2012 Optima, assuming it came from the Georgia plant. The 2012's that I've seen didn't have the round cover on the front bumper, but maybe that is not universally true.
The front tow hook that screws into these threads is in the tool set, under the jack. I use it frequently for the front tie-down when carrying 17-18' sea kayaks on a Thule roof rack. The rear tow loop is welded to the underside of the trunk.
It's all based on where your car was built. Regardless of year, if it was built in Korea, you have a hook. If it was built in the US, you don't. It was strapped down to a container from Korea and strapped down to a car carrier from Georgia.
I Bought a 2015 forte a few weeks ago and the dealer did such a bad job on the detail I took it back the following week.....
Well about a few days after I noticed that the circle on the from bumper was pushed in a little....
I took it back to the dealer on Friday and was told that they would not fix it as they can not prove that it did not happen because some one hit the car....
After a argument with the service lady who stated there was a scratch on the piece...That scratch was the triangle molded on the piece .....
I searched and found this web site and hope that someone here is able to help me...
Is there a way to get the piece back in place...
