Question Navigation/Clock Question (stupid)

I know this is stupid but it bugs me. I have the Nav package on the 2011 optima and there is an option to have the clock appear full screen on the display when you manually turn the display off. However, it doesn't work. There is also an option to have a jpeg imported from a usb stick appear on the display when "off" but that doesn't work either. KIA customer care was not helpful. Anybody able to get this to work?

yea, it is stupid. You made me go out and figure it out. Hold the power button for a few seconds and the whole system shuts off. Then you will get your clock. Simply turning the display off doesn't do it. While playing with it, I noticed that if the daylight savings turned on, the clock is a head by 1 hour. What is up with that?

Thanks. Kia customer care and the dealership couldn't figure it out.

You have to set it twice a year. In the spring you set daylight savings time on and spring forward. In the fall you set daylight savings time off and fall back.

I would think it reads the GPS location since mine set on Auto.

When I set my clock to go by the GPS location, the wrong time came up, but that might have been because of the DST selection.

yea, when I turned it off, the correct time shows. Makes me think that I have to flip back and fourth whenever DTS goes in effect. My phone or an old VCR doesn't even have to be switched.

Yes, as I said before, you have to switch it back and forth.

Question SatNav Related?

I don't remember having to adjust the time in the Spring but this fall my clock is wrong. The difference between spring and fall is that I have let my Sirrius subscription expire. Is there a correlation?

Xevious - i have the same problem. GPS is working [and i have Sirius Traffic, which i don't think is responsible for the time] but my clock hasn't reset all week. can anyone shed some light on this?
