To the best of my knowledge satellite only corrects for the standard deviation from GMT. It does not correct for daylight savings time (DST). Hence the reason the setting on the head unit for turning DST on and off. A software upgrade to the head unit would probably resolve this. If I remember correctly, my Garmin self corrects.

The reason your cellphone gets corrected is that your service provider is on the same time as you are and the time data is sent by them via a cell tower.

while on the subject of the Nav system, I have a question. Does anyone know how to delete an address that was inputed by accident. The touch screen is very sensitive to the touch and while adding a new address I skimmed over a key and it was entered. I would like to delete from the address book but I cannot find how to do it in any of the manuals. I tried the Cancel address which makes you think it deletes it but I am not getting what I want.
I tried with the mistake address picked as the destination and then went to the route button to use the cancel destination and hit ok but it just shut the system down. Confusing. Anyone have another way or correct way It would be appreciated

Thanks anyway but I was able to find my answer in the Navagation book. Its the thick one that came with the owners manual. It gives instructions on many of the neat things that the nav system can do as well as the phone
