Wanted Rims instead of hubcaps... But didn't want to pay an extra $1k for the Convenience Package...
This is perdominatly a Commuter car up and down the hwy... The family car you can see in the driveway (2012 Kia Sedona EX w/ Luxury and Premium Entertainment Package)
i would have preferred another color, but the black interior only comes on the white and silver cars. i could not find a silver/black combo for over 1500 miles from me, and they wanted msrp as well. so, white it is. now i have 3 white cars in the driveway.

Not planning on doing much... Entire new sound system, maybe some new rims. But I really like the car the way it is now. I have a 2012 EX w/ the convenience pkg.
There must be some way of making that 1.6GDI run the way it *ought* to run. Spongy, for lack of a better word. Back in the day you could feel how the engine ran. I want that feeling back. Computer flash, intake/exhaust, something. I haven't found much out there for this car.
On the highway, it runs great. I wish it had more oomph in town...
KIA RIO5 GF Peformance Chip - This is one of quite I few I found. They claim not to break warranty, but I'd look into that further before slappin it on...
Scratch that... Just did a quick search and it doesn't look like the best idea.
Ditto.. I love it. My only peeve is my android phone cannot connect to use media. I have a new Galaxy S II and when I connect, I can see the USB on the phone connect and the radio attempts but I get a media failed error.
Hi guys. I posted photos of my 2012 Rio in another thread but I thought I'd upload them here as well for the benefit of those who haven't seen a 3 door Rio. I am the proud owner of 3 door manual SLS in Graphite which in Australia is the highest spec Rio. Someone wrote that the Australian SLS would be roughly equivalent to the North American SX by comparison. I've had my Rio about a fortnight now and absolutely love it!
I hadn't seen the colour in real life until I picked my Rio up and I was blown away by it- the images I had seen didn't do it justice. I took the photos on a overcast day but when the sun is out that is when the car really shines- Graphite is the sort of colour that looks differently depending what angle you're looking at it from.
If I can I make a habit of parking my Rio in a space where I can see it from inside and it makes me chuckle how many people stop to check it out. There aren't that many Rios on the road yet here so it is still a bit of a novelty.
