I was really hoping this thread would provide an answer not snarky remarks from a select few individuals on this forum that like to do this sort of thing.
No problem. Try Midol for the cramping.

Anyway, it is eight bucks for the blank. If it doesn't work, you're only out eight bucks. The only issue you may run into is that some places might not use blanks they didn't sell you.

We have the push button Sportage Platnum (not sure what that translates to in other countries EX/SX ?) and have found that you can lock the keys in the back very easily by leaving them in the shopping bag, put bags in the back, close the hatch door. The car very pilotly beeps at you after the door is shut (and locked) informing you that you have now locked yourself out and the only way in is using the spare (that is at home) or wait the 3 hours for the Roadside non-Assists.

After doing this twice I got a blank metal drivers door key from the dealer then had it cut at the lock smith. This is strategically placed in a magnetic box somewhere that won't fall off after going over a bump (hopefully).

IMO $35 is well worth the money considering the expense and time involved if you have ever done this.
