I entered my VIN number and it reported my 2011 Kia Sportage was not qualified? What's up! I have have questioned the mpg I have been getting since I bought the car. Anyone qualify?

It is sad some people like their vehicle so much they wear blinders. It is sadder when they attack people who are questioning an item. But it is what it is. Be brave!

Just got my rebate in the mail. Everything looks fine on it. Very shiny.

yes I registered it online 11/3/12. Went to the dealer a couple of weeks later for a tailight that had water condensation in it and when they replaced the taillight, they supposedly registered again at the dealer even though I told him I already did it online. Anyhow he took the mileage. I called a couple of weeks later and the service manager told me he would get back to me but never did. I called a few days later and then he said he needed a copy of my registration for some weird reason that never was stated as necessary information according to the program. Anyhow I finally got that scanned and sent to him on Jan 30th, and I asked if he would update the mileage as when he took it down at the dealer it was over 2 months prior. Since Jan 30th, I haven't heard anything or received any debit card. Is this unusual?

to I presume you registered your mileage with a Kia dealer and they process your claim? Did you enter your VIN on the site to find out what your estimate would be? https://kiampginfo.com/

That is more than three weeks ago. Yep, it does sound odd - so does having to scan your registration. Mine took a little under two weeks to get the card in early December. Maybe with the holidays and winter storms and all they are backed up? Come to think of it...the more time that goes by since they began the program, the more efficient they should be getting in regards to processing claims. Perhaps call someone and get a live person to check the status?

I finally got the card, but damn it took forever! About the time of my last post is when I found out they "supposedly" sent the card but weeks went by as I called the end of February, and Kia MPG division said they mailed it out Feb 13th. Told me I'd have to wait until March 25th before they could issue a new card if it got "lost in the mail". A week later nothing arrives so I call again and had them issue me a new card, but they still said it will take around 2 weeks before I'd get it. The original card never arrived so to me this sounds like a convenient excuse as I never have lost mail, but have had a bitch of a time getting this card from the get go.
I finally got it but have questions as far as how to use it. I normally get gas from Costco or as it is usually 10 cents cheaper. Costco only allows AMEX credit cards so this KIA card will not work there.

^ I assume there are other convenient gas stations in your area that will accept the Kia card. It's not like Kia can control what methods of payment that Costco will or will not accept... Costco also doesn't accept regular manufacturer coupons either.
