Default Cellphone/Bluetooth Compatibility Table

I found this while I was trying to determine what phone I should buy to pair with my new 2012 Sportage SX. Contrary to many comments I've read on this forum, Kia seems to have done extensive cellphone compatibility testing. The link below will lead you to a extensive pdf table based on your Kia model/year/audio system model/carrier. Hope this proves useful to you.

Yeah it's a joke that they can't keep up with phones. Our Moto Droid's worked when we first got our Sportage in August ('12 EX loaded), and then we got each a Galaxy Nexus in January and sure enough, they don't work. :P

I bought a loaded '12 Sportage EX earlier this month and my Galaxy Nexus works great with it...
I have the nav system though, which might be different than the Uvo system in terms of compatibility.

I've got the Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket and it works perfectly.

Default StraightTalk Samsung R375c

If your looking for a relatively inexpensive phone that is compatible with the Sportage's Bluetooth, you might want to consider Walmart's StraightTalk Samsung R375c. The phone sells for $50 and has two plans available ($45 unlimited, or 1000 minutes/mo for $30). Straighttalk also offers a number of prepaid options with this phone.

Default Scratch Metro PCS

They do not list it as a carrier. I was scratching my head though as to why it works with my Huwaei phone when I give it the tel # to dial but it will not dial by name.

I am on at&t as my carrier and sometimes the same thing happens to me. dial by name mostly fails but dial by number always works. I use a samsung galaxy skyrocket. if I have a contact that is a single contact and only has a first name listed it almost always works. if I have multiple contacts with the same first name it almost always fails when using both the first and last name and trying to dial by name.

checking in:

wife and i both have Sprint Nexus S 4G's with ICS 4.0.4, odexed, zip-installed via CWM, rooted. Please note that this phone is not on the confirmed list.

Bluetooth sync works fine. Media sync over bluetooth works fine. Occasionally wife has issues with lag between controls and phone (ie, it doesn't pick up immediately, or the system doesn't ring until after the first few rings). Also, we have to delete our profiles and re-setup in the system menu if we re-flash phones.

2012 Kia Sportage SX FWD, Silver, Leather, UVO, keyless entry.
no sunroof, no nav, no interior led lighting, no heated/cooled seats.
