Default Noise coming from Heater fan

We just bought a 2011 KIA Sportage and I have noticed that there is a noise coming from the heater fan/blower. This is not a very loud noise and I can only hear when the fan is on low. I also noticed this same exact noise on another 2011 Sportage we checked. Is this a common occurrence with this model? And is there an easy fix for it?

I want to describe it as a ticking noise.

Most likely it is the fan motor. My previous vehicle did it as well on the very low setting. I never had anyone look at it so not sure it is a fixable item outside of replacing it. That being said, not sure replacing it would solve it long term. My thinking is that it would return after a while.

I hear it slightly on my SX now too. I won't be going into the dealer for another couple of weeks for my first checkup, but may ask about it then. If anyone else has already, would be curious to know what they did.

Mine does this also. It does, however, seem to be somewhat wind related. If I am driving with a strong sidewind it seems to be worse.

Mine sound like a leaf is contacting the fan blades and is most noticeable on the second setting level. (Two bars)

I began noticing the fan noise last month. I think I'll have it looked at next time I bring it to the dealer for the oil change. It's definitely coming from the fan because when my car is idle and I turn off the air completely, the noise stops altogether. I listened to it one day when my car was parked and found that it was more loud around the glove box. I hope there's fix to this issue

Same problem here! I'll have it checked at the next oil change but I doubt my dealer will solve the problem...
