i did retrofit it. i bought the entire mirror assy cuz i wanted the turn signal lamps and they came with the heated mirrors (in my country these 2 options are not avialable). all i had to do was check the wiring of the car. the heated mirror turn on with the rear defroster.
Here is the $500 solution Korean Auto Imports. Power folding mirrors including heated glass.
that's what i did but i bought it on ebay and i payed arround $320. also you need to make sure your car has the proper wiring in order to work properly.
How does the power folding work in those? Do they automatically fold when you pull the key or shift into park?
In stock form, there is a button on the driver's side switch panel that folds and unfolds the mirrors (if you buy the power folding mirrors you'll need also need this switch panel). In the markets (like North America) where this isn't a stock item, you will need to run some wiring (power and ground) to either mirror from the switch panel as this is missing from the stock wiring harness.
In the aftermarket, there is also a relay that ties the folding mechanism to the Smart Key proximity sensor that will fold or unfold the mirrors when the Smart Key is within a short distance of the vehicle.
