Default Kia Reimbursement

Did anyone receive their personalized debit card yet, that would reimburse us for the difference in the EPA combined fuel economy rating, based on the fuel price in your region and your actual miles driven? In addition, recognizing the inconvenience this may have caused, received an extra 15-percent premium to your calculated reimbursement amount.

https://kiampginfo.com/overview/compensation

Did my verification at the dealership on 11/6/12 & no follow-up on the behalf of Kia & no personalized debit card in the mail!

I'm glad this thread was started. I was about to start one myself. I was at my dealer on 11/8/12.

Quote from the faq on the website:

"How soon will I get compensated?

We will do everything we can to ensure prompt and proper reimbursement. Once you have registered for the program and visited your dealer for ownership and mileage verification, we expect you will receive compensation within fifteen business days."

So I should be seeing mine by the end of the week.

I know others went to there dealers before I did so it would c be great to hear if anyone actually received it yet.

I was told 3-4 weeks from time of submission at the dealership, so not really expecting anything till just before Christmas, but will post when I do receive it.

I registered at the dealer on Nov 7. I was told by the dealer that it would be 4-6 weeks to receive the debit card.

My dealer echoed the faq I posted earlier. But then again I rarely put much stock in what the service dept tells me.

Yes - Good timing on this thread to remind everyone to get your RIO registered for this program before the end of the month. When I brought my car over to the dealer to certify ownership/mileage I was told by the Service Manager that the people coming in with their forms know more about the reimbursement program than they do! KIA told the dealers that if a client had any questions about the reimbursment program they are to direct them to the Website - no kidding. The KIA dealers were not even given a general overview of the program

IMO the dealers should be calling all affected clients to make sure they registered for the program - as a measure of good faith. I won't buy another car from my local KIA dealer just because they did not have the common courtesy to notify me by email or phone about the reimbursement program

That's too bad that you did not get any kind of notification. I got 3 reminder emails about getting it done.

yeah that would be nice but lets face it I would bet the number of claims actually filed will be quite low and that will save Kia tons of money.
