Take video of everything! Even driving on normal roads, when you see idiots, give the camera a few taps and they soon behave themselves
the mic is hugely better in the 3 than it is in the 2, have a look at a few youtube reviews, it's one of the selling points for me. And yeah i wanted a full-time recording camera (for recording idiocy) but i figured this was far more versatile.

i wanted the black but it's not out in Oz yet. The silver is the highest at the moment which is basically just a slightly tweaked Hero 2 with the smaller form factor, better picture quality, different battery, micro sd, but more importantly built in wifi which for me, means i can use the iPhone as a viewfinder when setting it up in the car.

I'll be shooting and capping in 1080p 30fps which is what the silver maxes out at, 60fps for 720p and so on. No super slow mo for me, but good enough!

I have 1 and 2. I got the 2nd one to replace the first gen one. I like the GoPro2 as its much easier to use the settings on it than it is on the 1st gen.

I record in 720p at 30fps. I dont have a need to go higher as the stuff I take ends up on YouTube. Plus I can record more using a 32gb card. Most times I have laptop with me so once its full just take everything off the card and ready to go again.

The only things that I would upgrade to GoPro 3 is the sound improvement and larger card support.

Taking pictures with the GoPro takes nice fish-eye shots:

Took that with the 1st one some time last year

Kia was almost stolen today.. Someone had tried to steal the Kia from my driveway very early in the morning, almost an hour before I was to get up and go to work. They took nothing even though iPod was sitting there in plain view but they panicked when the car alarm went off. I had my windows down only little bit (just enough to get fingers in) and they tried to take it. The people that did it were targeting modified cars. Even police said so too as another car at top end of my street got broken into.

Unfortunately the guy down the other end of my street was not so lucky; he had his Commodore stolen by looks of it. Its a silver VE with the Clubsport conversion kit on it. Always see it at his house but it was gone this morning and police were at his house.

Something to be said for car alarms.

Your so lucky. Glad it ended well for you with no damage and nothing missing.
Just goes to show you do have a nice looking Rio there

Some of my parts arrived after Australia Post lost them... I got the chrome mirror covers and a second upper grille so I can play around with them. Also the mirror covers only cover the front area of the side mirrors, they dont go over the whole thing.

Sanded back the chrome and resprayed it burnt copper. Its too bright so going to try bronze instead. The bronzy colour the Mazda 3 comes in is close to what I want to redo all chrome bits on the Kia; inlcuding the interior.

People usually go for chrome or CF look but I want to go something different. Will also be cutting out most of the upper grille too and replace it with deep set mesh instead or if I can open up all the weird grille things I will try that first.

Kia had its first really hot day today... It got to 41 where I live and Kia held up fine, iPod not so fine. It got cooked. Put it in the fridge for 30mins and it was all fine
