Just a couple updates pics of my car, fresh polish and wax. Also, finally lowered it.
WOW MAN CONGRATULATION!!!, YOU HAVE AN AWESOME RIO!!!
Hey, i have some questions since i am in waiting list for a rio hb. First of all, do i need anything extra than the K&N filter pack (filter + pipe) cause i saw an orange line coming out of the pipe.
my second question is about the wheels, you have an 17*7 with a 40 rubber but i looks like there is some space there. do you think theres enough room for an 18*8 with a 40 or an 17*7 with a 50?.
I have never touched anything on my car, so im kinda newbie in this but trying to learn
Sorry for the late response Samu, haven't been on here in a couple months. Thanks for the compliment though!
If you build your own kit, just get the proper tubing that you want, whatever filter you want, and you can use the black hose that will already be on your OE airbox. I have a red one because it came with the BOMZ kit and wanted it to match the color of the filter. I've actually taken that tube off and just attached a breather filter.
As far as the wheels go: my Rio came with the stock 16" steelies with thick rubber. I bought 17" with low pro tires. The wheels and tire only came to about 1/4" shorter that the OE setup, height wise. The latest pictures I have on here, the car is lowered 2" and the wheel gap is down, a little less that 1/4" to the edge of the fender line. But, you can definitely fit more wheel/tire in the wheel well without rubbing. At 8" wide, you may run in to some rubbing issues. Plus, with the 18" wheels, you're car will probably gain a big of ground clearance but the wheels will look nicely fit in the whee wells.
Message me if you have any other questions, I'll try and be on here a bit more.
