Replacing the Meep-Meep horn

I want to replace the wimpy horn in my son's '11 Rio. Found these horns at Harbor Freight and they have great reviews. My question: how would I wire them in since the Rio comes with only one horn, not two like this set. And I've heard about replacing or bypassing relays when replacing horns. What's the deal with this? Is it more difficult than it sounds?

Hi Dorough, I went to the wrecking yard and got two Chev Impala 12 volt horns and cut the wires on the single (scooter like horn)and wired in the new horns for a cost of $5.00
now have a horn that I am not embarrassed to use!!!I used the same bolt to mount duel horns as the single OEM was mounted with. Good Luck

I put those Harbor Freight horns on our 2014 LX. They sound much better than the oem horn. Easy installation. The stock horn is still there. All I'd have to do to revert back to oem is pull the plug from the HFT horns, plug it into the oem horn and remove the HFT horns.

I'd like to upgrade the horn on my 13 Rio 5 EX Auto - I can see the stock one (front & left of radiator) - plenty of room for something else - but - how do I get access to that space? How to take out/replace the lower plastic grill - that would seem to give me access. Any suggestions, advice ? :)
