got a 3 month old rio and loved it until I had to go down dark country lanes on dipped headlights. I couldn't see corners coming up as I had about 2o feet of vision which at 50 mph wasn't much. I've used the adjustment wheel on the dash which hasn't made much difference and as I live in the country and winter is coming I am now getting worried. Does anyone know of any way of getting better light? Not technical so simple stuff would be welcome.

worried Rio owner ::crying::

He may have a Rio with projectors and they have a leveling wheel. You can aim the beams higher but if they are not enough then you will need to either take the tint off the headlights (if vinyl) or peel the dip off.

If light not getting through enough the stuff on too thick. The tints darken as they dry and its very easy to spray more coats on. Gets people all the time

yea, not even sure what 'dipped' here means.. dipped as in plastidipped or dipped as in droopy..

Didn't know the projectors would have a leveling wheel on the dash.. I read somewhere in Europe that cars with HID projectors must be self-leveling, but not the non-HID ones. And if tia does have HIDs, he/she probably wouldn't be complaining about the lack of light..

So yeah, you might be right, the previous owner ma have literally dipped the headlights in some sort of coating.. which would be odd..
