Default Rondo 2.4L in Rio ??

Has anyone transplanted a 2.4L from a Rondo into a Rio.
The I4 puts out 165 or so horses, seems like a nice upgrade.
I drove a 2007 Rondo LX (loaner car) and the 2.4 moved that 3400lb thing quite well.

Love the engine. Its a good one. But thats just crazy lol. You could go CRAZY and swap in the rwd v6 engine from the 350z. With alot of work it could fit.

Why a Beta could be swapped with ease. The Beta is almost the same HP as the B16, which is really not much better then a D16. Both have torque numbers less then your lawnmower. The Beta is 138hp/136tq the B16 is 160hp/111tq. And the money you saved dropping in the Beta you could easily make more then 160hp. The Beta is very responsive to modifications, and has a much larger aftermarket then the 2.4L Rondo engine.

Avatar for that 2004riotunner looks allot like a Suby WRX but with out the AWD to use the power with. Shoehorn in the 2.4 and make it not as twitchy as this would be and you got me onboard to buy one. I am more into the greyhound on a mountain twisty road. Then a Chichauahu on crack down town stop light to stop light guy.

nobody ansered is question yet!

is the engine a drop in ? what about the harness?
sure the 2.4L would be nice at that hp rating . but if nothings fits ,it would be a $$$ pit.
