No one has ever done it. That is why I think the 2.0L beta would be better. Tons of people have swapped Betas into thier Accents. Doing it in a Rio would be no differant.

Default Save the $$$

Instead of worrying about what drop in and how to convert over the connections and possibly having to either re MAP the ECU or even buy another ECU, save up your money and just buy a used motorcycle. For the entire cost of all the work needed to make the little Rio remotely fast you can just get a bike and still go nearly twice as fast with ease. The Rio is meant to be a good commuter and haul around groceries, and not to be a tuner. Honestly look at the cost of any mods for the car, even a home made mod. It adds little to no HP and it just cost you money so why bother? And dont use the "I dont want a motorcycle because it rains alot or I dont want to die" If its raining, why even bother having HP, you are just going to spin your wheels and its reckless. As far as the dying issue, if you wear proper gear while riding your chances are pretty good on surviving.

Silver ,
i get your point but if you look in my signature i also have a protouring cutlass
i have a suzuki bandit 1200 motorcycle too !

my point is that you can still get decent gas mileage with an elantra car
so if i would put a beta in my rio i could dtill get the elanta gas mileage combined with a little surprise factor

Well congrats on the bandit iv have ridden an 03 model it was fairly fun, though im used to a clip on style bar. ( I ride a 07 cbr1000rr ) And I have actually ran against many people on a road course who have put so much money in their car and still to me seem very slow. It just seems like a money pit to me. I honestly love my KIA for the usefulness of it I really wasn't concerned with the power. Just my opinion.
