Default Horn don't work!

Wow...my first real problem with my Rio. The horn don't work. I popped open the fuse box cover and noticed that the horn relay is clicking when I try to beep it. Is this just a bad relay? Got 8,500 miles...this isn't considered a wear and tear item is it? At any rate...I'll be making a trip to the dealer on Monday.

UPDATE

The problem seems to have corrected itself...the horn works now...and all I did was pull out the relay and put it back in!

I had the same problem with my relays. Horn, dash lites/tail lites, & air cond. I replaced 2 relays and cleaned the old ones with electric contact cleaner, checked them w/volt, ohm meter ect. Not sure but I think its from bad contacts on the pins. As far as how do you remove the relays same as a fuse only 4 pins. Tip if your dash lites go out more than likely you don't have tail lites.

the horn in rio r adjusable tone by turning the nut on top of the horn, however, if u turn too far, the horn wont sound. i'd tried 2 lower the tone of my horn since stock sound too funny to me, and i turn the nut a bit too loosen, so the horn sound worked sometime, but most of time i only get that relay clicking sound. so u may wana check out if the nut's loosen on the horn. and btw, since the horn suck so much dat i cant even hear my own horn when i have music on......i swap it into a pair of air horn
