I currently have a Sony cd player that i took from my old car and i wanna know what is the best way to hook it up to the Rio 5 Sport. Is it easy to do it my self or would it be best to take it to Best Buy or something like that.
Also, would I be messing with the warranty at all??
Added in: When should I do my first oil change, at 8000km (4970 miles) as per the manual, or soner than that.
when i put my CD player in. there was no mounting kit for the dash. and i had to hard wire it. that was over 5 months ago so there could be one out now. as for the oil, just do it every 3K or so. but i did not do my 1st one tell i think 4.5
As for the oil change, my dealership told me to get the first one at 6,000 km and then every 5,000 km after. So, that's what I did I figure better sooner rather than later, and 8,000 km seems a lot to go before an oil change - I wouldn't do it.

BTW, it looks like there is a dash kit and wiring harness from Metra available now for the 2006 Rio. I emailed Metra tech support and got this response:
According to Kia, it is a 70-1004 harness, but I have heard from the field that some take a 70-7301 as well. Dash kit is 99-7321.

It's strange how the mecanics and dealers are telling how offen you have to change the oil. In Denmark were tool that for every 15000 km we have to change oil. Some do it around 10.000 km, other around 5000 km.
My self. doit around 5000km for a brand new car. and after that on every service which is in the book.
