Kia Rio 2006 Lx Pricing Problem

I currently have a 92 Lincoln Continental and it sucks. Since i recieved it from my dad 2 months a go the engine has threw a rod, the power steering pump went out, i payed 300 dollars for a wiring problem, and i have put in a completely new brake system for 1000 dollars. I have paid for all this and I am actually only 16. I can barely afford these repairs so for the last week me and my mom have been looking at new cars. The car that seems to be the best for me is the 06 Kia Rio LX.

So me and my mom went to a dealership here in Phoenix, AZ. We also brought along my moms boyfriend (who drive a very nice new Acura) just so he could look at the car. Me and my mom test drove it and while it doesnt pick up speed as well as i would like i thought the price was very good for a brand new car. ***(I did notice though that when i tried to accelerate really really fast while the air conditioner was on, the RPM's almost went into the red at 6000 rpms, is this bad?)....we looked at the sticker price and it was $13,500. The specifications were....

He also said he would knock the price down to about $10,500. When I asked my moms boyfriend about it, he said that it sounded like i was getting ripped off. He sort of was telling me and my mom not to buy the car. This made me very weary of buying the car and so we went home. Should we buy the car or no....?

10.5 for that car is not bad for that car! Personallly I think you would be much better suited if you opted to get the power package for only a few hundred more dollars. I purchased a Tropical Red 06 rio back in March for my wife and she loves it! I traded in a tired Saturn and got my price down to right around there with an LX and power package. They are good little cars if you understand that what you are buying is a sub-compact car. It is not going to be fast or sporty and it is a very cheap car so you do get what you pay for. Dollar for Dollar though, it was the best car I found for the money! We have been completely happy with ours as should be you with yours! Trying to find a new car for 10k and under is very difficult if you are going to be picky! Kia is definitely a good choice in my opinion

get the power stuff!! i got the LX. atlest i think its the LX and i did not get ABS or power stuff and no power locks and windows sucks big time for only costing $600.00 more when i got my car.
