so i am a little on the fast side when i drive now and then. but at about 110, yes the rio can do 110 lol. at 6K RMP in 4th it seems like its hiting the rev limitor. but in 5th it has a little more power and will got a little faster but not much. or maybe its not going faster its just the sound of the car being down some RPM. so any ways is the 06 rio chiped for 110?

I guess I'm a boring old fart, but I wouldn't want to push my new Rio that hard

I'm probably younger than you...and I feel the same way. That poor little Rio.

Every Rio 2006 have a cutoff, more, every new cars have a cutoff (rev limiter). The sport rio 2006 do not have speed limiter, otherwise, any rio 2006 have one. With my Rio5 Sport, i already tape the 200kph, and it really dont shake for those who love to start rumors... If it's not a Sport, you have a speed limiter to 180kph. The spec is available on the 2006 Kia Rio micro site.

My second Gen makes it to 200kph before the turbo now I'm good for over 220kph but that's thanks to the standalone and the raise rev limiter.. I have yet to drive a new Rio though..
