Drat.

I have to take my Rio5 into the body shop now...3200 miles on it and we get a big hailstorm, 1/2"-1" hailstones fell last night. Once the hood started drying off this morning as I drove to work, I started to see the dimples. I was hoping there wouldn't be any, didn't see any while the car was still wet this morning, but once it dried off I saw the dimples. Probably a dozen and a half or so, some on the hood, quite a few on the roof. I hope this won't make my insurance go up...dagnabbit!

I guess I'm lucky I don't live in the next county over...they got 4.5" hail! Downside of living in the Midwest...I love electrical storms (rain without a lightshow and sountrack is depressing) but I can do without the hail and tornadoes. Our cars live outside since our garage isn't really usable for vehicles, so if it hails, they get hit.

The storms were moving at 65-70mph...so at least it didn't last too long.

I feel for ya! Hopefully body shops have a 'dimple puller' that can suck them out painlessly! Would a car cover cushion enough to keep the golf ball (and under) size from denting the shell, do ya think?

Good Luck,
