Heading out to the DMV to get a fresh copy of my ZX2's title, then it's off to the Kia dealership to make a Rio5 deal.

Gotta make my mind up...Midnight Black or Sapphire Blue....love that blue, but that black is sharp...

Good luck on beating that sales guy down. Remember, sales are slow now and they NEED the sale!

Think about going to several competing dealers with your requirements to buy a car so that the dealers understand that they are competing for your business, in fact, I'd fax all the dealers what you're looking for and wait for their response.

At this price point, I'm not too concerned about getting down to near invoice. The particular dealer I went to is one with an excellent staff and one of the best service departments around (not just their Kia shop but their other shops as well). I wanted to deal with this dealer in particular, even though others might be cheaper. The service at the other places is not very good. I can see some lowballing on a higher-end car, but on an entry-level car like the Rio, meh. I'll spend a little extra to get world-class service and support.

Got the Sapphire Blue, btw.

Now I have to change my profile...

Good point; they don't have much wiggle room on a Rio, I'm sure. Good choice on the Blue....

Ah, I see you're over by Kalamazoo...right after getting my Rio5 I drove to Battle Creek to record with a friend and visit family (I'm from Battle Creek originally). Little car did really well, and varying the speed for the break-in period was a cinch with the erratic traffic all the way to and from...gotta love Chicago, and the hellacious construction in Indiana and Illinois...oy!

Hey, I like that 'Beerbratistan', eh? I like to hang in the UP in the summer fishing and what not. Real Packer fans up der, eh? "Lions, never heard of 'em".

Yeah, driving around Chicago will give you lots of driving at 55 then 5 then 65 then 25.... ya da ya da...........

I have an '01 Sephia and it is a real quiet car on the interstate. I am quite impressed with it, although I have warned the wife not to slam the doors in the winter lest something break off in the cold!

I've had a few Jagermiesters in Milwalkee over the years. Have a cold one for me!!

I'll toss down a cold Spotted Cow (New Glarus Brewing Co) for ya...that's some good stuff!

So far I'm really liking my new Rio5. I'll have to take some pics soon and toss 'em in my profile. Great driving little car...Kia did a great job with it. That new 06.5 Optima is a sharp car too, and my wife liked the Sportage.
