Hi all, my '06 Rio hatch has done 1750ks and is perfect except for a creaking driver's seat which seems to be getting worse.

Just wondered if anyone else has noticed the same thing with their car and if there's an easy fix.

thanks, Rick

Hi goldenboy, I will point it out when I go back for the first service (7,500ks).

I was just wondering how prevelant it might be and if anyone had had it fixed without having the whole seat pulled to pieces!!

Hi Mika, yep... definitely the seat in my case. Even with the car stopped and everything switched off the seat creaks if you rock from side to side or fore and aft.

It sounds like the seat was originally fitted to an old Pirate ship!! Maybe my seat has a wooden frame :P

Does it sorta sound like leather creaking when John Wayne shifts his butt in the saddle?

Essex: what does the dealer say? Is it covered by the warranty?

Haven't been back to the dealer yet Mika, they're on the other side of town and I thought I'd wait 'til the first service (7,500ks).

I've only done about 2,500ks at the moment and only use the car for commuting, so it'll be a while. I'll post what the dealer says after I've seen them.
