Should i use regular or premium gas is my new Kia Rio sedan? is premium going to make a difference?

Consult your car manual that came with the car. It will tell you what is best. If it calls for regular use it. If you use premium it's just extra money wasted.

The manual calls for 87. FYI...my worst mpg was with a tank I filled with premium.
