Ok... so I just got a brand new Kia Rio5. Its very nice for the money... I like it alot and the 1.6 has a nice amount of kick to it... however... the 110hp@6000rpm's is a little weak for my tastes. Now, here's my question, I have an automatic tranny, when I push the car from third to fourth there is a lag in the speed boost. What I mean is, when I floor it the rpms go up to about 5,000, you can hear the engin rev up, however, it does not increas in speed at all. Only when the tranny switchs over into fourth gear does it start to gain speed.
What can I do to stop this or at least to inprove the lag. I'm sure if I can solve this probelm the speed up of the car with improve as well as the pick up. Also I have yet to mod the cold air intake and the cat backs of muffler... I want to get a turbo for it... if any one can recomend a kit for my car that would be great. There isn't much for this car yet. I've looked. What I really want at this point is a front and rear sway bar. Then the intake and then the cat backs an mufflers with be modded. The Turbo will have to come much much later.
