Hi All,

I keep seeing these modification chips on e-bay that claim to boost performance by up to 25hp. They claim that installation is 5 mins and there are no issues with either the engine, computer or the warranty.

This seems a little to good to be true, especially since they are so cheap. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks!

The people that program your car's computer at the factory, probably know what they are doing. Kia pays its engineers to figure out how to make the car get the most power, best fuel economy, and last the longest. If a mod is cheap, but makes the car better in any of those fields, Kia would have probably done it at the factory. The more expensive mods, like Turbo/Super Chargers, do work, but Kia leaves those off beacause they would make the car cost a bit more. However, I have had friends that put in after market chips in thier trucks, and say that it gives it more power, but they spend allot of money to get a good one.
Just my 2 cents
