I'm curious to know how long these stock tires last. From my reading I see 30k as a common replacement milage. I believe all Kia's come with the stock Kumcho's(sp?) made by some Korean company I've never heard of. I'm wondering what others recommend as replacements.
For this next question I apologize for my ignorance...my knowlege regarding this is limited...but, speaking of tires/rims, what are the pros and cons of putting 15's on my vehicle? (The Rio LX sedan comes with 14's.) How would putting 15's on effect gas milage and braking? Would it void warranty? How would it effect handling?(obviously handling would be better...but how much better...and is it worth it?)

These are the tires that came on my 06 Rio5

Kumho - Solus HP4 Plus

I don't see anything on when they should be replaced in the documentation I have on hand or on the Kumho website, you should probably ask your dealer.

The older Rio's used Hankooks, and I believe were guaranteed to 50k. I'm not sure how much of a quality difference (if any) there exists with the Kumhos.

If you speak to a dealer before I do, let me know what you find out.

Not all models are equipped with the same tire brand. My Optima came with Michelin tires.
