Looking good , though it is screaming to be lower.
Still check out some options , and found another I really liked. Wanted to see what everyone else thought. I think these wheels still follow the lines of the stockers , but just have a bit more of a agressive look. Whatever the case , they are Mrr hr-4s. The smallest size they come in is 19" .
i have a 20/7.25 on my optima and want to lower it. where are you guys finding the kits or etc.
Coilovers would be the best option in my opinion. If your going to do it at all do it right the first time.
someone correct me if Im wrong, but the optima and sonata share the same suspension. Ksport makes a full coilover setup for the sonata , they run about 1000.
The Optima and Sonata, while sharing the same platform, do not share the same suspension. The front for sure is different- the Optima has a less complicated strut set up than the Sonata does. At the rear, I don't recollect seeing anything that says they are different. But the fronts definitely are. Or at least were through 2008 as far as I know. Lug patterns and wheel offsets are the same though as far as I know.
I wanna put 20' on my optima, but I always have at least 3 or 4 people on my car, can you put that much weigth in your optima without any problem? and how is the riding? is it very rough? or would you suggest 19 on 40 series instead?
the ride is almost factory , except its louder. hear the tires on the road. weight is not ever an issue. i can still pack my car so thats good. as long as you dont exceed a 7.5 inch wide wheel you will be good. i never rub. not on dips, turns, with load or any other condition
THANKS!!! for the info tattedcat13, I haven't make up my mind if I should put 20" on it or 18" and drop it 1.5", but I haven't find some high performance shocks to do it, I got the springs, but I've been looking for the shock everywhere, so if you could give me a hand with that it would be awesome!!!
