08 Optima 2.7 V6 -- New Oil Filter

I found out that my 08 Optima LX w/2.7L V6 has a new (thinner) oil filter. The local Kia parts department had to special order one to get them in. The new oil filter is longer and thinner and requires a smaller wrench to get the filter off. The older shorter/wider filter physically fits on the engine but there is little clearance between it and the engine and serpentine belt -- that's the only reason I can see why they redesigned the filter.

Also, this engine uses 5W-20 oil not 10W-30.
