Default Other OEM Wheels that FIT the 06.5 up OPTIMA!

Hello all-

I was thinking that we should start a thread that lists other OEM wheels that will fit our 1006.5 and up Optimas PROPERLY.

By PROPER, I mean:

1. SAME LUG PATTERN

2. CORRECT OFFSET

3. HUB BORE SAME or SLIGHTLY LARGER (concentric rings can be used)

SO...

My 2007 Optima has:

16 inch diameter
6.5 inces wide
5 x 114.3 (4.5) lug pattern
46mm offset
67.10 Hub Bore

WHEELS I'VE RESEARCHED THAT WOULD BE PROPER FIT:

2004-2008 Ford Fusion (direct swap onto the Optima)

17 or 18 inch diameter
7 or 7.5 inches wide
5 x 114.3 (4.5) lug pattern
44mm offset
67.10 hub bore

*Many current Mazdas run the correct lug and center bore, but have varying offsets that we'd need to watch out for. I believe that Mazda 3 wheels may work okay, but they have a 52.5mm offset, which puts the wheels further into the wheel wells at similar wheel widths.

*Oddly, the Mazda 6, which shares a platform with the Fusion listed above, uses a much greater offset- 60mm- and thus the wheels will bolt on but sit quite far inside the wheel wells on our cars- I've tried one!

ANY OTHERS KNOWN TO ANYONE ELSE?

great idea! I've often wondered the same thing. OEM wheels are definately high quality and people sell them as "take offs" when they upgrade to aftermarket. For the new Optima's, my only concern would be the TPMS sensor. It would probably have to be bypassed.

Bypassed or transferred over to the new wheels- should be easy if the new wheels had them or are set up for them originally???

People know about those sites....

People are looking for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) wheels.... since people take them off their cars and sell them for dirt cheap when they get after-market ones.

This is exactly what I'm trying to create here- a list of OEM wheels that look nice and fit properly...

The current Sonata wheels will fit as well. I need to add them to the list. The Tiburon wheels seem to run more extreme offsets though.

hey. new to the forum and new with Kia. I just got the 08 Optima with 17's and am looking to upgrade to 18's. I'm looking at some 18x8 with +30mm offset. You guys know if that offset will work? I'm unexperienced with the Optima and I figured I could find some people that are knowledgeable on here.

Also, anyone know if my stock 17's have the same 46mm offset as the 16's? Thanks

30mm is quite a change from the stock 46ish. And yes, I believe that the stock 17's are 46mm offset as well. Those 30mm offset wheels would stick out noticeably...
