Kuk's ECU reflash

I have done alot of reading and have learned that KUK's is pretty much a good place to go to if u r wanting a ECU reflashed. I sent Kuk's an email and they told me they could reflash my 07 optima 2.4L (siemens VDO ECU). He also told me to contact a ETAS dealer. But, i haven't a clue why i need to contact this person. If anyone else has had an ECU reflashed please give me a clue about this hole process. Thanx, MIke

what do you mean reflash? what does that do? ih ave an 07' 2.4

I've done some more talking to KUK's and we finally have overcome the language barrier. For 350$ USD, not including freight charges, he can reflash 3rd Gen Optimas to custom needs including current mods you have done to your car. To answer your question, someone takes you car's computer (ECU) and hooks it up to a computer. They then erase your EPROM file and input a custom one they have written. This "reflash" will result in your engine running up to its full potential. Estimated HP gains from this reflash is probably 10HP or maybe a little more. It'll be a little while before i perform this, as i want to have header hooked up and running before i send my computer off. TUMINATAH rules!!!!
