Default 2007 Lx V6

Traded the 2004 Sorento today and got the 07 Optima V6
My Sorento served me well, but at around 17 MPG on the highway I was having issues keeping the gas tank filled.

Commute to work is 50 miles round trip and the Sorento used close to 1/4 tank per day at 65 MPH

Today I ran it at 80 MPH and used around 1/8 tank of gas and thoroughly enjoyed the ride.

Went to the Crutchfield Web site and looked to see speaker sizes and it indicated that the Optima uses 5 1/4 speakers or 6 1/2" speakers. What is correct ? I'm remiss to replace the head unit and lose the steering wheel mounted controls.

Default Stereo

I replaced the head unit in my 07 Optima and kept the steering wheel controls. I purchased an Alpine unit that would accept a wired remote, and then bought a PAC steering wheel unit that converted the KIA commands to Alpine codes, it works great. I purchased it all from Crutchfield. I took my time and it looks like a factory install. The front speakers will take either size, the mounting area is pretty big. The only down side, there isn't an aftermarket wiring harness for the Optima so I had to cut into the factory harness, no big deal, just a heads up.
