Default Air Filters?

Where do you folks get your air filters? I've found that air filters on the 2006.5+ Optima seem to be hard to find.

I would like to know as well... I can't even find stock replacements. Hopefully they will come around soon.

Another source listed for new Optima Cabin Air Filters is from Wix= Part # 24517, listed as of today 11/17/07 on eBay available from Complete Filtration Services @ $14.95 plus $8 shipping. Said to also fit some newer Hyundai models like Azera and Sonata (the Hyundai-Kia OEM part # is listed as 97133 2B010.) Be advised, however, that the Engine Air Filter sold at parts stores for the newer Hyundai Sonata is not the same size as ours and will not fit in our Engine Air Filter housing box.

Cabin Air Filter followup- just did a little more research online and found a new source at A-Z Auto Lights in Salt Lake City. They just began carrying a line of filters from TYC (part coded 97133 3K000 for the new Kia Optima). Part number checks out on cross-reference as a factory number also, just like the one mentioned in my previous post, so the number may have been recently assigned. Their reference is HYSOCFAU for the part.
Price is quoted at an incredible $10 each, so I have decided to order a few. Will examine them on receipt and report back.

Default Cabin Air Filter for New Optimas

Just received the new TYC Cabin Air Filters from A to Z Auto Lights in Salt Lake City. At less than $10 each after shipping they are just as good looking as the factory originals, and are a lot better than trying to cut your own from 3M Filtrete materials, which many of us were doing rather than paying ridiculous dealer prices. The A to Z reference # is HYSOCFAU, TYC part # is
800026P, Kia part # is 97133 3K000. Their website is atozautolights.com and I have told them to expect a few more orders from us here.
