Thumbs up 2007 Optima gets 5 Stars for Safety

The 2007 Kia Optima has earned the highest rating in a safety test by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The automaker’s U.S. office said Wednesday the Optima sedan won five stars for all seating positions in the latest front and side impact crash tests. The 2007 Optima has a longer wheelbase and increased horsepower and has six standard airbags. Previously, the model earned the highest rating (good) in a test by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

Hi Ahfrederick! I have access to Asian, European and the U.S./Canada news feeds 24 hours a day. I see vehicle reviews usually months before they are published. Many surveys also reach me days before they are published. Do you think people on the forum would like to see some of these that are more interesting or it is a waste to post them? Also, would you recommend my posting to "Kia News" section or to the individual vehicle's forum section? Often time I cannot post a link to a web page since there are none to the materials I have access to. Of course I will never post Kia eyes only (internal communications) type of materials. Thus far people on the forum have shown me respect and not driven me off the forum.

Schnauzer, all I have to say is this: You ARE the MAN when it comes to news regarding KIA! I for one SUPPORT and APPLAUD your effort in keeping us KIA owners informed on breaking news before it hits the mainstream. I can not speak for the others, but in my opinion don't worry, you got my vote! Keep the information coming!
