My wife has a 2010 Optima LX and the doors will not lock electronically via the inside door switch or the ket FOB. I can hear the a relay in the driver side fuse box clicking when the key FOB is pressed, but the locks will not move. The issues started over a year ago with the locks working once or twice then getting weaker and weaker as they were used in succession. All I checked the D/LOCK MOTOR fuse in the inside fuse block as well as the I/P B + 2 fuse under the hood. I've been searching online, but cannot find anyone with the same issue on a 2010. Any help would be much appreciated!
Has anyone found out what is causing this. My wife also has a 2010 Optima and her's is doing the same exact thing. The keyless remote will only unlock the driver side passengers door and the drivers door sometimes. As far as the passengers side neither of the doors will lock or unlock with the keyless remote or by using the key in the lock. Hopefully someone will find a solution to this, or if Kia is monitoring this site maybe they can say what is going on here.
Hi! Newbie here.
I'm having the same problem with the Mrs.'s car and was excited when I
finally found something on it. Until I saw no clear solution.
Anybody got this figured out? I was going to get a new fob and have
it programmed, but that's kinda pricey for a test.
I'll keep checking back.
Good luck, and thanks!
I have been dealing with this issue for many years and have now found the culprit. 813202G210 is the door lock actuator and it is a bitch to say the least. You will have to dismantle your door almost completely to remove it. Videos are available on youtube but they are not well made. I am not yet allowed to post links but I found the part easily on kiapartsnow.com
