Loose lug nuts - Worst bone head move ever

I've heard of this happening to other people, never thought I'd do it.

I snugged lug nuts down on passenger side front with car on jacks,
after I lowered it I forgot to tighten them down.

Drove for about 15 miles before shaking caused me to investigate,
all of them were loose and just about ready to fall off.

Now I have tire noise plus a slight vibration.

Question is: What damage did I do?

Quick check on google tells me possibly I bent the studs. Also may have damaged to tire.

How can I quickly and efficiently fix what I screwed up?
2010 Rio 65,000 miles.

Sounds like you may have elongated the holes the studs go through...
If the studs were bent tightening them would pull the wheel (rim) into alignment.
Driving 15 miles should not have caused much damage to the tire. Try putting the spare on and see if the noise and vibration goes away..You will at least know "if" the damage is to the wheel/tire or the rest of the car.
I noticed you said 65k miles on the car... Have you replaced the timing/cam belt yet?
This is the weak link in KIA cars and "if" it breaks or looses teeth you WILL damage the engine. Just a word of caution...

I just replaced the timing belt when I pulled this stunt.

So your saying its possible the holes in the rim might be elongated.

Great, now I got a place to start, thanks again.

I'd guess elongated bolt holes are a definite, possibly the hub on the wheel is beat up, along with the mounting surface that sits against the rotor, and possibly bent studs and damaged threads on the nuts. The bearing hub is probably ok, but make sure to inspect it closely. New wheel, studs, and nuts and you should be ok.

I ended up replacing the rim. With car jacked up I put a screwdriver next to the tire to act as a indicator, spinning wheel showed tire was lopsided.

New rim took out 95% of vibration. Not sure if whats left is tire damage or studs/lug nuts.

The other 5% may come out with a spin balance of the rim/tire..
