Default Cricket sound when letting off clutch

Greetings all!

I own a 2009 Kia Rio with a manual transmission. I have 30,000 mile son it. It started to make a " cricket " sounding noise while the trans was engaged. Did not matter at any speed.

When I depress the cluth slightly or all the way, the noise went away. I took my car to the dealership. They diagnosed it as a clutch issue and replaced the cluth. 1 month later the sound returned.

I am not convinced it's the cluth as this is a brand new cluth. I am very gentel on my cars, do not ride the clutch and is kept in the garage. I suspect it's some sort of clutch adjusment. Are these hydrolic clutches?

Any ideas? I hate to have the clutch replaced again $1000! I know there is a 1 yr warenty on it, but I don't think it was the cluth in the 1st place.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

C.

Hi. I'm pretty sure this isn't what you are describing... but, my rio had a cricking sound, kind of at the top of the clutch stroke, on the way in or out. It was just the through bolt in the clutch pedal was a tad loose. It tightened up only a fraction but it went away ever since I tightened it. Not the easiest to get to to tighten but give it a try?
Hope it helps!
