Default Modding Sportage halogen fog lamps

While the fog lamps work well, I have decided to modify the lamps and install HID projrctors.
NOTE: I am NOT putting a 'plug n play' hid light kit in. First it's illegal. Second it DOES NOT create better light.
A halogen lamp is computer designed for halogen bulbs only. An HID bulb burns completely diferent than a halogen bulb. All an HID bulb will do is create a great deal of glare or misdirected light.

I have a pr of morimoto matchbox bi-exon projectors. I will have to cut out the back of the fog lamp and then mount the hid projector into the lamp back.
I will post pics along the way.

here are pics of the fog lamp and the matchbox projector:

Had a change of plans.
I already had the Morimoto Matchbox projectors mounted in a BMW housing that was sealed.
I has unable to find a shroud that would fit the small projector.
Given time constaints the easiest soltion was to mount the exisiting setup.
The final push was how easy it ended up to be to mount them.
I will have pictures of the mounting later.

Here is the installed projector:

yep, will get some posted.
One of the projectors is perfect.
I had to replace the bulb in the other and I need to re-align the bulb. I don't have a garage and it has just been tooooo cold to work on it at night.

BUSTED!!! lol

ok......maybe my advanced age!!!

Here are the pics
1. the driver's low beam is burned out.
2. THe driver's side projector bulb needs to be aligned in the projector to give the same crisp cutoff that the passenger side projector is showing.
3. the cutoff on the passenger side needs to be moved in so it falls under the low beam.

pic 1:
low beams on (driverside burned out) fogprojectors on

Pic 2:
low beams covered up, fog projectors on:

Pic 3:
fog projectors off, high beams on

While I refer to them as 'fog projectors' the are really just projectors in the foglamp location

Also, these Morimoto Matchbox projectors are a little too small to be primary light.

also, they are 35watt hid 4300.

the fog lights are nice and bright.
I have 35W 4300k HIDs as my hi/lo beam lights and I don't think they are that bright.

tysin,
Is the HID bulb mounted in an HID projector?
Or just the factory halogen lamp?
