Well, I can give you a bit of info. I just walked out and connected my scanner to my 06. I don't have any active fault codes so the scanner just powered up and read "0" and indicated it was connected. It's the standard OBDII connector under the steering wheel. My scanner is one of those cheap Innova model 3100 handheld units; I bought it about 6 years ago and it's worked with numerous OBDII cars. I doubt Kia could really change the OBDII format much since a lot of states (mine included) use the OBDII port for the emmissions check; they connect it to their computer.
