I just did it on my 2007 2.7 liter. It was pretty easy, just had an issue with the harmonic balancer being stuck, I used a blow torch and it loosened right um. Also had an issue with the water pump I had was not cast real good and was a tight fit. Here are 2 low res pdfs that may help a little.
I just did this on my 2006 V6 and I can tell you the hardest part was getting the harmonic balancer off. I had to fashion a holder from a puller I bought at Napa parts. Image attached as well. The bolt on there has close to 200lbs torque on it and it's not easy to get off. I luckily had a really large torque wrench that allowed me enough leverage to get the bolt off.
Make sure you have plenty of time and a second vehicle just in case it takes you longer than you thought. I'm pretty mechanical and it took me about 14 hours over 2 days because I kept running into issues. I did the water pump as well and bought a gates kit from Amazon for 150 that had everything you need. Amazon.com: Gates TCKWP315 Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump: Automotive
The dealer wanted 1000 bucks to do it to replace water pump, timing belt and serpentine belt.
