Thanks for your reply. I've just replaced pads and discs (rotors). My car doesn't have (as far as I know) an electronic warning of low pads, rather it has a metal bracket which hits the disc (rotor) and makes an audible noise.
Its certainly a brake related warning light. Looks like a ABS service reminder without the enclosed ABS letters. You have a circle in the middle so I honestly can't say for sure but defo brake related. Get it checked out if it is on permanently.
azimpact - I managed to get a scanner attached and it said that no codes were found
Jawadders99! - Thanks, I initially wondered if it was ABS related, but the ABS warning lights are on the other side of the dash.
Conwelpic - Thanks, I called in over the weekend and showed them the photo that I attached to this post. Apparently it is the vacuum pump warning light. They told me that it is only a concern if it stays on all the time, which in my case it doesn't. They said you only usually see it if you pump the brake pedal - well, to be fair, that is exactly what I had been doing, as I had just change the brake pads and discs (rotors).
As the light isn't on at all now (apart from when I first start the car) there is nothing to worry about after all.
Thanks again everyone for your input
