Hi everyone, hope can get some help on this.
I have a Kia Sephia 2001 and I got the code P460, Fuel Level Circuit Malfunction. I am lost with this, I don't know what it is. Could anyone help me?

What does it mean? What should I check?
I have a Haynes book and it shows me the Fuel pressure tank sensor but doesn't show me where is a level sensor.

Thanks for any help.

PS - I HAVE NEVER DONE THIS!

The circuit is located on the assembly under the back seat that has the fuel pump and tank sensor assembly.

I think it is hanging of to the side there.

** Hope that helps **

Oops - forgot to mention "the best part" ---- I was getting the same and found out I got some bad gas.
The computer could not understand so 2 tanks later till running like crap and giving 460+134 codes... Ran till empty - got best gas I could find ** -> the KEY **-> Unplugged the battery for a full 20 minutes, checked every wire for grounding issue (none really found) --- everything is great now.
Mileage went down for that tank but then came back to normal.

Kia - driving and fixing/fixing and driving.
Best car is the one without payments.

I bought my 2000 KIA Sephia and it had a p0460 code.

I noticed it was pretty much out of fuel when I bought it. I filled the tank and reset the computer for a different reason and I have not had that code pop up anymore. The previous owner said that he used to run the car low on fuel almost all the time. Which I never do.

I like to fill up on half a tank and for me 1/4 tank is empty. I got like this from driving many big V8 trucks. But anyway, it is good to keep at least 1/4 tank of fuel in the tank to keep the fuel pump cool (I live in the desert so it gets to 110 degrees frequently.).

Since the previous owner ran it so low all the time, he told me that the low fuel light burned out. I am pretty sure that is what set the code in my car since I have not had it pop up again. And because the light doesn't come on with the rest of the lights when i turn the ignition to the on position.
