Default switching my bad TCM

I have a kia sephia 2000 and i would like to know if Ia can change my bad TCM part # "K2ABB NA T8D" by a part # "K2ABA NA T8D"any answer will be so appreciated

the tcm is under the left side of the dash. there is a 10mm nut that you have to take off and the tcm should come out. on the connector there is a philips head screw that you have to take out first and a locking tab that you have to pull up and the connector should disconnect. it's pretty easy. just pull the old one out and put the new one in.

The difference in the part numbers could mean that although these are physically the same, they may gave different mapping.

different mapping shouldn't cause any problems though. it should work the same with the sephia transmissions from 98-01 at least. the only thing that would be different is shift points, etc.
