Default Re All Your Daring Exploits

Hi Guys
As previous new members before me I have read from page one to page 13 with great interest. I too have a wife who would kill me should I even think of putting SVO in our 2.9 Sedona LE.
I am puzzled I dunno much about these newfangled engines, I think it's a common rail but dunno, I know it's a Turbo, but that's all I know.
Anyway my two pennies worth I have run my 1.9 Astra on 50%SVO:50% Dino, and apart from the usual starting hiccups on a colder day, (of which we have had plenty) it seemed to run fine.
From my reading back before I started down this road I noted that using filtered WVO was higher in acidity so I bottled it from even looking for a suitable supply.
I did ponder getting the conversion done but unstable SVO prices have scuppered any thoughts of pursuing that option.
Currently Costco is selling KTC oil in 20l drum in plastic and metal containers.Current ppl is 87p (Haydock,Merseyside) The plastic containers have a wider neck and I purchased a pump off ebay for biodiesel for about 20 which empties a 20l drum in about 3 mins (Listed as 12 volt submersible pump for diesel or bio fuel)
So I am still thinking about also taking the plunge with the Sedona, I went back to using 100% dino in my Astra cos pumps are expensive...I believe about £1500 and I couldn't tell whether it's a bosch or a lucas.
Anyway, thanks for the interesting read and perhaps I will swell your ranks real soon, just need to encourage the wife... it's her baby I am tempting fate with and she needs it for work too.
Hope my rant makes sense. Keep up the good work....All for one etc...
