I would have thought that a mp3 player would make an in-dash 6 CD obsolete, and also if you were going to change wouldn't one with also a USB port be more sense. I know if I changed my unit thats the way I would go.
Why don't you just transfer all your mp3 CD's to the iPOD? Not sure on its capacity but I'm sure its way more than one mp3 CD. I know when I used mp3's on my other vehicle, it held about 250 songs (actually it would hold more but the player was limited to play only that many tracks). My mp3 player holds 2GB which is well over 1200 tracks.
